Guide for Authors

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the design, conduct of research, analysis of data, development of novel methods, and writing of the publication. The authors of Mansoura Veterinary Medical Journal are asked to submit their contributions in a specific area of the text. The corresponding author is responsible for the correctness of all author information, including names, addresses, affiliations, and order. The corresponding author is also required to submit institutional approvals and sign a declaration form on behalf of all authors.

Structure of the article

Information on the title page that is required

Title: Succinct and informative. In information retrieval systems, titles are frequently utilized. If at all possible, avoid abbreviations and equations.

Names and affiliations of the authors

In addition to the title of the manuscript, a title page containing author names and affiliations should be given as a separate file. Please explicitly mention each author's given and family names and double-check that all names are spelled correctly. Below the names, list the authors' affiliation addresses (where the real work was done). After the author's name and before the appropriate address, use a lower-case superscript letter to indicate all affiliations. Provide each affiliation's complete postal address, including the country name and, if possible, the author's e-mail address. The ORCID of the corresponding author must be included.

Corresponding author. Indicate who will be in charge of correspondence at all phases of refereeing and publication, as well as afterward. This role includes responding to any future Methodology and Materials questions. Ascertain that the corresponding author's e-mail address is provided and that his or her contact information is kept up to date. Author declaration should be submitted as well.

Present/permanent address. If an author has relocated or was visiting at the time the work described in the article was completed, a 'Present address' (or 'Permanent address') may be noted as a footnote to that author's name. The major affiliation address must be the same as the address where the author actually conducted the work. For such footnotes, superscript Arabic numerals are used.

Abstract. concise and factual abstract is essential. The background, methods, results, and conclusion should all be divided into sections in the abstract.

Keywords. Provide a maximum of 6 keywords immediately after the abstract, avoiding broad and plural terms, as well as multiple concepts.

Subdivision sections.

Divide your article into sections that are clearly defined. Subsections should be italic.

Background. Avoid a lengthy literature survey or a description of the results by stating the work's objectives and providing appropriate background.

Methods. Provide enough information for an independent researcher to duplicate the work. Methods that have previously been published should be summarized and referenced. Use quotation marks and cite the source if you're quoting directly from a previously published method. Any changes to existing methods should be documented as well.

Results. The final product should be clear and concise.

Discussion. The purpose of this discussion is to elucidate the significance of the work's findings rather than to repeat them. It's common to mix the Results and Discussion sections. Extensive citations and discussion of published material should be avoided.

Conclusions. A main conclusions section may be present in a short conclusion section, which can stand alone or be a subsection of a Discussion or Results and Discussion section, might present the study's primary conclusions.

Acknowledgment. If available

Conflict of interest statement. Is required.

Permission from the research ethics committee: The number should be submitted.

Author CRediT should be submitted.

Reference style

References

The American Psychological Association's Publication Manual should be followed when preparing references (6th edition). This means that in-text citations should use the author-date technique, in which the author's last name and the source's year of publication appear in the text, for example (Smith, 1998). The number of authors and whether or not this is the first time a reference has been referenced in the publication dictate whether or not to use et al:

Articles with one or two authors include all names in the first in-text citation but are abbreviated to the first author name plus et al. on subsequent citations; articles with three, four, or five authors include all names in the first in-text citation but are abbreviated to the first author name plus et al. on subsequent citations; articles with six or more authors are abbreviated to the first author name plus et al. for all in-text citation

At the end of the work, the whole reference list should be listed alphabetically by name. The following is a list of some of the most popular entries in reference lists. Please note that all references should include a DOI if one is available. Please see the APA FAQ for more information on the APA referencing style. Please note that issue numbers are not mentioned in journal articles unless each issue in the volume begins on page one.
